2000:

For the millennium celebrations, the judges for the three year 2000 shows were ‘especially imported’ so that no-one was denied the opportunity to show, due to their hound being bred by the judge.

Open Show Spring 2000

The Spring Open show was judged by Emerson Howard (Howies Hounds, Netherlands) on Saturday 19th February.
Emerson eying up the dogs, before
selecting BiS and RBiSThere were forty entries, and Emerson's report was presented in the Gazette, sent to members in at the end of March, and is now available online here.

The notable difference in style, for us Brits, was that at the end of each class, Emerson explained to the competitors his reasons for the placings he had decided.  He also started the day, by having the hounds moved clockwise round the ring.  However, by the fourth class, he had conceded to British habit of parading anti-clockwise.  Is this anything to do with us driving on the left, unlike or continental cousins ?

Championship Show 2000

This was judged by Mrs. Jackie Sinkinson (The Rectory, USA) held on the 3rd June.

This was part of the Millennium celebration weekend,
at The Milton Lodge Hotel, Gillingham, Dorset.

However, despite a temperature comparable with Austria, the sky remained blue, and Bri was able to complete the judging outdoors.
