Most bloodhound pedigrees show repetition of hound names within a single 3-generation pedigree.
Although this is not the case for the first Marbilus litter, the puppies are line-bred to the Sanft De - Jo litter, as seen by Robinswood Undercover at Danzigery and Ch. Marksbury Quoniam Sanft occuring in the 3rd and 4th generation columns.
As a simple guide, the kinship coefficient for Undercover at Danzigery is 0.1875.
Since Ch. Marksbury Quoniam Sanft also occurs in the sixth generation, her
kinship coefficient is 0.2031.
[On a scale where 1 would be a homozygous clone, and 0.5 for a brother sister mating,
which to 2010 the Kennel Club has not excluded from registration.]
Although there are no examples, the Bloodhound is one of the breeds singled out by the Kennel Club
as having a limited gene pool.
