Millvery Trophy Stake

2009

Winners of the previous year's Senior Stakes are invited, to hunt an eight-hours cold line.

This was held on 24th January at Loseley Park, near Guildford, Surrey.

The Stake was scheduled to be judged by Keith Long, but he was called away urgently. 

Hence, the "Assistant was promoted", and the Stake was judged by Barry Alan.

The Top Working hound of 2009, started 2010 well by being awarded,

the Millvery Trophy for the second year running:

Robertson's WTCh. Trailfinder Endearing by Floralis (Bouquet).

 

 

The Millvery Trophy Stake was initiated by the Avery and Millers, and the first winner was

Mr. & Mrs. D.C. Richards' Ch. & WTCh. Chasedown Virtuous, who won in the first two years:

The stake was held early each year for top trials hounds of the previous year.

However, between 2003 and 2008, judges

Colin Avery, Norman Foster, Jo Franks and Rod Bennett, did not award the trophy.

In January 2009, Sam Selman awarded the trophy to

Robertson's WTCh. Trailfinder Endearing by Floralis (Bouquet).

In January 20109, Barry Alan again awarded the trophy to

Robertson's WTCh. Trailfinder Endearing by Floralis (Bouquet).
